October 26 is our final planned Monday for jumping spiders, mantids and roaches. Every arrival day, including the delay day, must reach 9°C. Your ship date needs a final weather and packing check.
Shipping dates and carrier information
The week of October 26, 2026 is our final planned shipping week for jumping spiders, mantids and roaches. Monday, October 26 is the planned dispatch day, subject to route, carrier, packing and weather checks. Payment does not confirm a ship date.
We will not ship these animals or isopods to a destination whose forecast daytime high is below 9°C on the estimated arrival day. We review the full arrival window, including a possible delay day. Unsafe conditions or incomplete forecasts mean a hold; heat packs do not override this limit.
Shipping for these animals will resume in spring once temperatures return to a safe range and carrier acceptance is confirmed.
Canada Post is no longer offered for roaches, jumping spiders, mantids or isopods. Its published live-animal mailing season runs March 1–October 31; October 31 is a mailing cutoff, not an order deadline.

Purolator has ended our seven-year shipping arrangement.
Purolator notified us that it would stop accepting our packages, and the deadline it gave us has now arrived. Our original contact from seven years ago has retired, and the account is now handled by a different representative.
We suspect there may be a wider tightening of approvals for live-invertebrate shipments, but Purolator has not confirmed a broader policy change. Whatever the wider situation, our own permission has ended and Purolator is no longer an option for our packages.
