My spider loves it!

(I might have a different version than listed but the green hive part is what I will review.)
My female juvenile Phidippus borealis absolutely loves it! I had this hide in a tent with plenty of other hiding spots. I put my spiders in a bug tent that's about 2 feet tall and 1 foot in length and width when I need to step out for a bit. Well, my spider picked this little green hive hide to get comfy in. It wasn't even the highest thing which is usually where my Phids like to rest. The spider using it recently had a mismolt and has 6 legs, she can use this hide perfectly fine. I love how I can easily move her in and out of her enclosure because all the hammock work is in the hide and can't be ruined by moving it around. It's now in her enclosure and she stands on it when she's ready to come out. This makes moving her very easy without the risk of spooking her further back into the enclosure. She's normally shy to come out so I'd let her come out on her own but when she's in or on this hide, I can easily relocate her to the playgym. The magnets aren't exposed at all, so there's no risk of anything breaking or hurting your spood.

Not what I thought...

I ordered this item with the belief that the item was going to resemble the photo attached, but alas... It was just another magnetic single hole hide. I was expecting a ball, with 2-3 holes in it, that I could place into the enclosure with no magnetic connection. To be fair though, these look to be 3D printed, so I also understand that these are obviously a tedious item to make, but the photo didnt resemble what I received.

I’ve updated the product listing to bring back the option to choose between one hole or two holes for the 'Circle Hide.' which seems to look more like a bee hive now between you and me.... 'shoot that's pretty silly :(' I'm sorry !!! 'I will work on updating product name/image tomorrow' After personal research, I’ve found that my spiders aren’t using the two-hole design as intended it makes me hesitate when producing it. Instead, they’re consistently creating predictable webs / molt webs / egg sacks that are better supported by a single-entrance hide and they just seem to go inside it more often it is my least favorite thing when the spider wont use the hides like cats not touching the expensive toys we buy them :(. As a result, I now feel that all previous designs are wildly inferior, and my spiders clearly prefer this one over the others! maybe I am bias and I just have a thing for bee hives maybe just a phase.

Because of this, I ended up shipping the 'new' design instead of 'the one chosen.' I sincerely apologize for the mix-up I know it’s a bit backwards, but that’s just how I tend to do things sometimes. I’ll make a better effort to keep the product images up to date so they accurately reflect what’s being sent I understand it doesn't make sense from a retail standpoint and I may have just gotten ahead of myself and fallen severely behind in product name / image updates.

I also hate to admit it, but we keep making things better and better!, which makes me reluctant to produce older designs I listen to feedback about the hides and watch peoples content on how the spiders are using the hides and examine how my spiders use the hides to decide how I want to design them. I realize that sometimes I prioritize what I would personally want over what you all are expecting, and I apologize for that. To make things right, I’ll be refunding your order and sending a voucher so you can 'try again' with the updated selection that now includes your preference and a new updated outlook on our end to communicate product changes before shipping and disguse possible changes 'like exit / entrance preference' the spiders do use all the hides we make!! nothing wrong with the entrance / exit ones if you personally like that it would give me a reason to continue making them the spiders do indeed use them nothing was wrong with the design but I will create a newer more advanced and thoughtful version over the next few days!

Thank you!! :)

The perfect little hides

I bought these hides for my juvy spiders and they fit perfectly in the small sling cubes! These will still work when the spiders are adults so they are a win win
