Porcellionides pruinosus remarkably adaptable, flourishing in a wide range of environments. They do not have strict ventilation needs, provided that a humidity gradient is maintained. This allows for diverse humidity levels within their habitat. Optimal temperature conditions for these isopods range from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius.

To ensure their well-being, use a moisture-retentive substrate enriched with leaf litter and calcium for nutrition. Adding bark pieces is essential, as they serve as perfect hiding spots for the isopods.
