Important Shipping Update

We're sorry to report that logistics in Western Canada, especially with FedEx, have deteriorated significantly over the past three months. What was once our premiere winter shipping option has now become our most unreliable and overpriced choice confusing people on which option to choose at checkout, with 2-3 day delays being the norm. Despite their high costs, FedEx’s “guaranteed” delivery dates have consistently fallen short, with live shipments often not arriving until the following week completely unacceptable by our standards. What we previously considered a "worst-case scenario" has become FedEx’s standard practice. Unfortunately, this makes FedEx virtually unusable for shipments within British Columbia and even worse for out-of-province deliveries.

This leaves us with two remaining options: UPS and Canada Post. Both have agreements with us for live shipping, but neither can provide reliable delivery guarantees. Based on our experience, Canada Post is currently the best option for shipping in or out of B.C. While this might seem surprising to those outside the province, it’s important to understand the unique logistical challenges we face here. UPS, FedEx, and Purolator have all struggled to address these issues effectively.

Additionally, we want to highlight that Purolator refuses to handle live insect shipments. Using them for such purposes can result in a permanent ban, as we experienced when a miscommunication led to our commercial account being closed without recourse.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate these challenges to continue providing the best service possible.
