Important Shipping Update: Canada Post Strike

As you may have heard, National strike with Canada post as of Friday. It is with a heavy heart that we announce Canada Post will no longer be a feasible shipping option until things are resolved, so it is out of our checkout process and those that have put orders for canada post shipping upcoming will be contacted or shipped with Purolator option sadly more expensive and may require cancelled orders in some situations if not all.

We don’t have to tell you how frustrating this information is. Our number one priority is the health and safety of shipping live bugs, supplies and equipment. these unforeseen interruptions aren’t easy for any of us.

Where do we stand with Purolator

At this stage, we will be shipping with Purolator Express. Purolator is a trusted shipper, but due to the strike it has forced many regular customers to start shipping differently. There is added congestion, creating delays already, and additional strain on courier networks.

What does this mean for live orders:

Because live animals are sensitive to shipping conditions and timing, we will recommend all customers hold off on placing live orders until we send an additional message. Our live arrival guarantee is still in place but in the current climate the risks are heightened outside what we typically accept.
