Winter Shipping is here

As the crisp chill of winter begins to sweep across the country, we at Arthropods Canada are fully committed to ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our beloved critters to your doorstep. As of now, we have officially entered the "Red Zone" of winter shipping — a period when special precautions are essential to protect our precious cargo from the cold.
Here’s what we’re doing to keep our roaches and jumping spiders snug and warm during their journey:
Full Steam Ahead with FedEx: We're exclusively partnering with FedEx for express shipping. This means faster transit times and less exposure to the elements for our arthropod allies.
Insulated Boxes & Heat Packs: Each shipment will be cozily packed within fully insulated boxes, accompanied by 72-hour heat packs to ensure a toasty travel environment, shielding our little adventurers from the winter chill.
Mandatory "Pickup at Nearest FedEx On-Site": In light of ensuring the utmost safety, all orders will now require pickup at your nearest FedEx location. This strategy significantly reduces the risk of exposure to low temperatures during the final leg of delivery, where, in our experience, most problems tend to occur.
Why Pickup? It’s all about the well-being of your new arthropod friends. Holding your package at a FedEx location minimizes the time they spend in the cold and prevents them from sitting on a truck or at your doorstep where they can be exposed to severe temperatures.
What You Need to Do:
Choose Your Nearest FedEx On-Site Location: When placing your order, please specify your preferred FedEx pickup point.
Stay Alert for Arrival Notifications: Keep an eye on your tracking number! As soon as your package arrives, head over to the FedEx location to collect your new companions.
Custom Shipping Requests: If you have specific shipping needs or requests, we're here to accommodate! Please reach out to us prior to placing your order so we can make the necessary arrangements.
We understand that these measures may add an extra step to your purchase process, but we assure you it’s a stride worth taking for the safety and happiness of your soon-to-be pet arthropods.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Here’s to a cozy winter filled with the joy of new six-legged and eight-legged friends!
Stay warm and safe.
